It’s definitely a thing here but with bigger sausages in slices so it’s practical to put in the burger bread.

For that use, I w ould still go for a baguette or döner-kebab bread over a burger one.

This is actually a common street food in Northern Bavaria where they prefer a smaller kind of Bratwurst. The name translates to “ 3 in a bun” . Sometimes s erve d with Sauerkraut in the bun.
